As Kiowa Ltd is a business selling goods and materials used in factories, utilities and production environments. Few goods, if any, are suitable for consumer use and therefore we operate on the understanding that people using the site, or applying for an account with us, are doing so for business purposes. Therefore we make the reasonable assumption that visitors to our site are incorporated business customers and we operate under the rules and regulations that apply in the Business to Business environment.
If you are a private individual, including sole trader, member of a partnership or other non-incorporated organisation, you must advise us that you a not representing an incorporated business. By default this will automatically exclude you from all B2B marketing campaigns and any application for a credit account will be refused. On confirming you are a private individual we will make all efforts to ensure we treat you and your information with all additional care and attention as required under UK law.
What information do we collect?
If you make an order with us, there is certain personal information which we will require in order to process your order (such as name, company name, billing address and shipping address, bank details, e-mail address and telephone number.)
The only 3rd parties we will pass your details onto will be those who it is essential for your order, for example your address to the carrier of your order in order for it to be delivered. Under no circumstances do we sell or rent any personal information which you supply to us to any third parties.
From time to time we may ask you to complete a survey in order to improve our service to our customers, but you do not have to oblige.
IP Addresses and Cookies.
We will use your Internet Protocol (IP) Address. An IP Address is a set of numbers, which is assigned to your computer when connected to a network or to the internet. This is automatically logged by our servers and used only to ensure the web site remains operational and help resolve problems which may be encountered. We will not use your IP Address to identify you personally or the organisation you work for.
Login Assistance: After registering on the web site a token may be stored in a cookie to assist with the login process.
Site Usage and Performance Statistics: We use some cookies help us to understand what parts of our website are of interest to our customers and help identify any problems a visitor to the site may encounter. The information gathered is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you. The anonymous, aggregated, information gathered is used to generate reports and identify trends. This information can also help recognise when a customer returns to the web site.
Third parties: We do not use any third party content. All credit/debit card processing is handled in a secure connection between your browser and our payment services gateway provider. We have no control over what cookies are used by this third party but have assurances that any cookies used are essential to the provision of payment services. A few articles may have social media "like" buttons.
Where to we keep your information?
All data given to us is stored securely at all times. Our staff are engaged in using your personal information to process orders, including name, addresses, and payment details. By submitting your personal data you agree to this storing, and processing of information.
We follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of personal information to prevent authorised access or unlawful processing of your personal information. We keep your personal information confidential and store it on a secure server which is password protected and firewalls. We use secure Transport Layer Security (TLS) to encrypt all traffic containing your personal information. This technology ensures your information is not visible to any third-party en-route. Some older web browsers may not be compatible with TLS.
The Kiowa.co.uk web site recognises if a logged-in user has the right to use credit terms for the purchase of goods and services. Therefore we strongly recommend that you always log out and close down your internet browser when you have finished purchasing from Kiowa.co.uk especially if you use a shared PC. This will delete temporary cookies from any sites you may have visited. You are responsible for keeping your password and access to Kiowa.co.uk secure. We ask you not to share passwords with colleagues.
How will we use your information?

Marketing and Communication
You may have opportunity to subscribe to our newsletters and you are given the option to subscribe to our marketing and communications upon registering to our website. You will always be given the option to unsubscribe to our e-mail marketing, and you may inform us at any time that you wish not to be marketed to and we will ensure you are taken off our marketing lists.
We will market only products and services which we believe are of interest to you and are directly related to products and services provided by Kiowa Ltd. The aim of our marketing and communications is to provide you with information and to give you the best products, services and offers.
Kiowa operates both a Blog and Forum, and a Facebook page, Kiowa takes no responsibility for comments posted by users on any online community, but where possible will endeavour to monitor comments and ensure that offensive comments will not be represented.
There should be no exchange of secure information via the Blog and Forum and any issues with orders, should be taken up directly with the Kiowa team via telephone. This ensures your issue will be dealt with as a matter of urgency.
If you no longer wish to receive marketing information from us you have the option of ‘opting out’. Clear instructions are above in the Marketing and Communications section. And instructions will be represented at the bottom of each of our e-mails. Or you can choose to let us know in writing or via telephone.
Access to information:
You are entitled to information kept on our system about you, and your business. And we ask you to keep us informed of any necessary changes to keep information accurate and up to date. If you require a copy of all information kept on the system about yourselves you must e-mail email@example.com and inform them of your request. You may also send a request to us in writing. Access to information is strictly on a personal data basis and does not include company information. Kiowa Ltd reserve the right yo charge a small handling fee when applicable.
